Mekanisme ini dikenal juga sebagai <strong data-start=\"406\" data-end=\"428\">enkripsi asimetris<\/strong> karena menggunakan pasangan kunci yang berbeda namun saling berhubungan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"786\">Kunci publik dapat dibagikan secara bebas kepada siapa saja. Dengan kunci ini, seseorang bisa mengirimkan pesan terenkripsi kepada pemilik kunci. Sementara itu, kunci privat bersifat rahasia dan hanya dimiliki oleh pemiliknya untuk membuka atau mendekripsi pesan yang dikirimkan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"814\">Prinsip dasarnya adalah:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"1018\">\n<li data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"910\">\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"910\">Data yang <strong data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"861\">dienkripsi dengan kunci publik<\/strong> hanya bisa <strong data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"907\">didekripsi dengan kunci privat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"1018\">\n<p data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"1018\">Sebaliknya, data yang <strong data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"969\">dienkripsi dengan kunci privat<\/strong> hanya bisa <strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1015\">didekripsi dengan kunci publik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1351\">Model enkripsi ini banyak digunakan dalam berbagai protokol keamanan modern, misalnya <strong data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1117\">TLS\/SSL<\/strong> yang menjadi dasar dari koneksi <strong data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1159\">HTTPS<\/strong> pada website.
